Project Leaders in Germany
The project leadership of NGO-IDEAs is entrusted to IMPACT PLUS, Mr. Eberhard Gohl and Mr. Bernward Causemann.
IMPACT PLUS is a consultancy office based in Stuttgart, Germany. It is specialised on project management methods in development cooperation, mainly in planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and studies focussing on the analysis of project outcome and impact. The office is working for clients for governmental organisations (GTZ, InWEnt) and non-governmental organisations (Karl Kübel Stiftung, Bread for the World, Misereor, and others).
Two kinds of products are offered to the impact oriented project (or: results-based) management:
- upgrading, or setup of participatory impact oriented M&E systems
- design and implementation of impact assessment studies, with adequate "tiny tools" to motivate a maximum of stakeholder participation and ownership
The services offered comprise consultancy, training, coaching and studies, by using interactive methods.
The NGO-IDEAs team is working in close cooperation with the Regional Coordinators. The team consists of:
Dr. Eberhard Gohl (gohl@impact-plus.de)
Rural economist and sociologist, with more than 20 years of experience of consultancy in development cooperation. He has working experience in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Specifically in the context of NGOs and CBOs, he has conceived and applied tools for "Participatory Impact Monitoring" (PIM).
Bernward Causemann (bc@causemann.org)
Sociologist, free-lance consultant with 15 years experience in consulting development cooperation. Seven years heading the management consultancy of a consultancy company. Specialised in impact-oriented management, strategic planning, M&E systems and in evaluating advocacy work and international networks.
Verena Brenner (verena_brenner@web.de)
Political Scientist, with large experience in the field of development cooperation, international relations and peace and conflict studies. Working with Impact Plus since 2006, she is specialised in impact-oriented Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, intercultural communication and conflict resolution. She has been living and working in East Asia, particularly in China.
Martina Rithaa (rithaa@impact-plus.de)
Professional Social worker and Social pedagogue, with a Masters in Evaluation (M.Eval) focusing development cooperation. Working with Impact Plus since 2008, she has experience in doing research and evaluation, project management, youth work, and working/networking with German as well as southern NGOs, especially in Eastern Africa.
